Inter School French Café Quiz

On July 9th, our group of 7 year 10s  went to the Billericay School in Billericay for a French competition. We competed against  another 4 teams from Essex Schools… and we won!

After one long hour of train travelling, we had to walk up the high street to a big and fancy school.

LGBT Diversity Week

During the week of July 2nd - 6th, Valentines pupils took part in celebrating LGBT week. As it's now our 3rd year running this important event, we’ve expanded on what we do to celebrate this week of diversity and acceptance. The pupils did a fantastic job in helping to spread the message that everyone is accepted at Valentines, no matter what their differences are.

Knife Crime Project

On July 9th 2018, year 9 pupils took part in our second annual Knife Crime Project.  There were several workshops, run by the police, ambulance service and the Robert Levy Foundation Charity.  This charity was set up in the name of Robert Levy, who at age 16 was tragically killed in 2004 when he went to the aid of younger boys being threatened with a knife in Hackney.

First Give Finals - nail biting stuff!

Tuesday evening saw the final of the Year 9 First Give project - a valuable, charitable enterprise that teaches the value of social action as teams compete to win a prize of £1000 for their chosen charity.  We welcomed teachers, parents/carers and charity representatives in to the private study area in the Sixth Form and witnessed some amazing, creative, passionate and well-thought out presentations.  A huge congratulations is d
